Hello Falcon Nation!
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share how excited I am to join such a dedicated and proud team school community! My name is Patrick Breen and I am excited to serve as the principal at Constantine High School for the upcoming school year. The more I have learned about the rich tradition and promising future for CHS, the more inspired I am to become a part of something special. In everything I see, one thing is clear - CHS is committed to giving students the best opportunities possible to be successful.
A little about myself - I have a wonderful family beginning with my beautiful wife, Stacie, and two children Addison (8) and Levi (6). My wife and I have grown up in St. Joseph, MI and are both ‘02 St. Joseph High School graduates. After graduating from Taylor University, I began my teaching career at Wabash High School in Wabash, IN as a Social Studies teacher. I taught mainly U.S. History, AP USH, World History and some other electives in my six years at Wabash along with sponsoring many clubs and activities. I coached middle school and JV/Varsity football as well as the Academic Superbowl teams.
I received my M.S. Ed from Indiana University - Fort Wayne in Educational Leadership and was hired in 2013 as the Assistant Principal/Curriculum Coordinator at River Valley Middle High School in Three Oaks, MI. This allowed my wife and I to move back to Southwest MI to raise our family. After four years as the Assistant Principal, two of those years also serving as the Athletic Director, I was fortunate to become the Principal at the Middle High School for four years. .
I was drawn to Constantine because of the pride and dedication to creating a true school community. When I first visited Constantine, I saw Falcon Red everywhere throughout the town. As I learned more about the district, I bought into the Core Values of Respect, Encouragement, Confidence, Integrity, and Effort in everything you (we) do. I was excited to become part of something ripe for growth.
After a difficult 2020/2021 school year, we must commit ourselves to raising the bar and getting back to the things that make Constantine great. Reviving old traditions and creating new ones as we open the community back up and rally around our student body. Engaging in great activities like athletics, concerts, clubs, and social events. I look forward to seeing Falcon Nation at its best!
I look forward to working with the great families, students, and staff at CHS. The 2021/2022 is primed to be a great school year and I can truly say I am PROUD TO BE A FALCON!
